There are two ways to live your life.  One is as though nothing is a miracle.  The other is as though everything is a miracle.

About April

A Certified Life Coach, Life Purpose and Career Coach, April Anderson brings over 30 years of experience to helping her clients reach their goals and live life on purpose. From the boardroom to bereavement, April is an expert at guiding people on their journey to becoming the very best version of themselves.

April Anderson Life CoachPrior to becoming a life coach, April was privileged to be a member of the management “start-up team” for the local branch of Odyssey HealthCare, the nation’s second largest hospice. April leveraged her years of experience and education to create the bereavement and hospice volunteer programs. As director of those programs she educated and supported a diverse group including volunteers, hospice staff, patients and their families.

In these roles, April drew on the skills she honed in the corporate world to manage these programs with care and confidentiality. As a hospice volunteer for Providence St Vincent Hospice, April’s firsthand experience taught her that the most significant work, next to being at the bedside with a patient and their family, is supporting the selfless individuals that volunteer to share the end of life journey with dedication and compassion.

Before joining Odyssey, April built a highly regarded career as a staff development officer, or corporate trainer, for First Interstate Bank. In this role, April managed a $3.6 million dollar corporate training and executive development program within the training department of the bank, educating and growing leaders for First Interstate Bank in Nevada and Utah.

Along the way, April has trained countless corporate clients on a multitude of topics from professional business image to Federal banking regulations. Her client list includes Washoe County Airport Authority, Financial Women International, American Institute of Banking and the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce. She continues to educate people through her workshops and speaks to groups on topics such as Life Balance, Grief and Loss, Professional Image, Developing Your Personal Brand, Business Etiquette, and Get Me Through The Holidays.

As part of her commitment to the community she has provided volunteer training services for Providence – St. Vincent’s Hospice, Southminster Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church and the American Red Cross on topics including hospice volunteer patient care, crisis intervention, relationship management, grief and loss, and CPR training. April also served as a loaned Executive Board Member for the United Way.

April lives and works in Portland, Oregon. She is a wife, mother and grandmother with a passion for coaching intelligent, creative, achievement driven people who want to explore, discover and create the best version of themselves.
